The Story of a Photographer

The first camera I ever owned was a polaroid film camera in the 9th grade, and that was a little over 15 years ago. From that point on, I fell in love with photography. You would always catch me with a camera, always curious how I can take better photos of just about anything and everything. I am a naturally shy person, so starting a business for others to view my work wasn't always the plan. But, now I like to think of myself as an extroverted introvert. I love yoga, autumn, reading as many books as I find or make time for, and my favorite holiday will always be Halloween! Hiking is my newest passion and visiting as many state parks has just been added to my long travel bucket list. That just about sums up little ol' me and I hope I get to learn a lot about you!

What equipment do I use?

My first camera was a Nikon gifted to me in High School...I've stuck with it ever since! I have two Nikon Z Mirrorless camera bodies, 85mm, 50mm, 35mm (my favorite), & 24-70mm Lenses. My flash kit includes a Godox V1 and AD200, soft box, and stand. My favorite items in my collection are my crystal fractals. I consider myself to be a tech junkie, so naturally I am always wanting new gear to play with.

How long have I been shooting?

This is my MOST common question that I get. And, although it's been a few years in my business, my love for photography has been ongoing for wayyy longer. I honed my craft over the 5 years I have worked with clients all over Austin and DFW.

Do you help with styling?

What you wear can make all the difference in your photos. When I first planned my own family session, I had no clue where to start. So, I created a unique style guide to help my clients with this process. I am happy to offer my opinion at anytime to my clients.

Recently,

I eloped in Joshua Tree National Park! It was MY dream wedding and I wouldn't change a single thing about my amazing and intimate ceremony. But, I often get asked if I shoot weddings and the answer is yes & no. I love to be part of micro-weddings, courthouse ceremonies, and elopements! However, I have plenty of wedding photographer friends that I am happy to recommend if your celebration is grand!

Meet My girls...

I'm a mother of three dragons, I mean girls, and I looooovee being a girl mom. Don't get me wrong, at one point I prayed for a boy, but seriously, I wouldn't have it any other way. As you can see, my girls range in ages, 5 year gaps to be exact, which has allowed me to enjoy each stage fully!

Once "just" a teen mom, and all because of a camera, I'm now a mom fulfilling her dreams, hoping to be the best inspiration and role model to her girls.
